SanDisk tries to be the urban USB Flash Drive

Homies gotta save computer files somewhere too right? Well SanDisk, makers of fine USB flash drives everywhere, is now targeting the hip-hop fan. And what do we have saved on these drives? Either porn or ripped music. Or porn set to ripped music. Anways, SanDisk has been announced as the official partner of the upcoming Rock The Bells festival which headlines Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def and De La Soul. Partnership includes integrated online and onsite promotions, giveaways at the festival and much more. I hear Nas loves the SanDisk 4GB Cruzer Titanium thanks to its U3 smart technology. Yea I know…I totally just made that up. Everyone knows he loves the 8GB.

Nas to play Kool G. Rap in “Vapors” movie?

Rumor has it that Nas is in talks to play the role of Kool G. Rap in the upcoming movie The Vapors. Movie is of course about the life and times of the classic Juice Crew and is being executive produced by Big Daddy Kane. There have been a lot of rumors about casting for this film from the get go. David Banner was going to play the role of Biz Markie but that rumor was shot down. The only confirmed roles are Clifton Powell as Mr. Magic; Keke Palmer as Roxanne
Shante; Evan Ross as MC Shan; and Cuba Gooding, Jr. as Marley Marl.
I know the casting assistant for this movie is a readers of ours so if you got any intel please share! Personally I wouldn’t mind seeing Nas on the big screen. Belly don’t count.

Nas headlines world’s largest sneaker touring sneaker show

Nas is helping further push the alliance between hip-hop and the flourishing sneaker world as he will be headlining a show this Friday in New York for the Sneaker Pimps shoe tour. The Sneaker Pimp show does look pretty tight. It features tons
of vintage and rare sneakers, autograph signings and of course tons of art and
music. Check out full details on their official site. I’m sure Nas will be trying to push his own sneakers while on stage as well.

Sneaker Pimps claims to be the largest touring sneaker show in the world. I’m sure that’s cool but I don’t know of any other touring sneaker shows to compare to. That would be like Nas saying "I am the best rapper with a King Tut chain in the world!" Or it’s like how my mom would always tell me I’m her smartest youngest son. That always made me feel special….until I turned 23 and figured out I was her only son…and the youngest.
