Missy Elliott’s 3-D “Step Up 2 The Streets” video

Missy Elliott is doing her part to try and make the upcoming film Step Up 2 The Streets a success. As we mentioned last week, Missy has created a 3-D music video to her two songs "Ching-A-Ling" and "Shake Your Pom Pom" which are featured in the movie and on the soundtrack. 3-D glasses were passed out via different promotional methods as MTV premiered the video on TV. Unfortunately I left my 3-D glasses in my other pants so I can’t tell how good it is. But I’m sure if it’s even 1/10th as good as Captain Eo then it’s good enough. Step Up 2 The Streets comes to theaters this Valentine’s Day.

Pepsi Superbowl Ad w/ Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, Missy Elliott

I’m having some trouble trying to understand why Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J and Missy Elliott would agree to do this new Diet Pepsi Max ad that will premiere during The Super Bowl. I have a feeling it has to do with money. Lots of it. It’s the only explanation because they seem so out of place. See for yourself and let me know what you think. Via: Nah Right

Missy Elliott helping promote “Step Up 2 The Streets”

Missy Elliott has teamed up with Walt Disney Studios to create a 3-D music video that contains two of her songs that will be featured in the upcoming hip-hop dance film Step Up 2 The Streets. Music video director David Meyers has combined Missy’s "Ching-a-ling" and "Shake Your Pom Pom" into one 3-D experience that is true to Missy’s cutting edge video style.

This is the first time a promotion like this has been done between a music artist and movie studio. "It was a perfect fit," said Glen Lajeski, Disney’s executive vp music, creative and marketing. "Missy always wanted to do a 3-D music video, and Disney has done a lot of movies in 3-D," he said, adding that he expects to see more of this type of project. The 3-D video will premiere on next Monday’s TRL (Feb 4th) with glasses being distributed through various grassroots and mainstream promotions. Missy will then attend a special New York screening of the movie and the music video the next day. Via: Hollywood Reporter

Missy Elliott means more Doritos

Missy_doritos

For some reason Doritos is desperate to capture the "urban" market. We announced awhile back the Missy Elliott partnership and now this week Doritos announced another partnership with will.i.am. Aside from the Missy commercial that has been on air for awhile, Missy also filmed extra scenes to be used on the Doritos website. Check em out here. It includes unlimited footage of Missy rocking back and forth in a red swivel chair. Hours of entertainment.

Missy Elliott Doritos commerical worse than herpes

Missy
Missy was looking good last year but from this photo taken last week, it looks like she believes too much in her own product. What’s worse? Eating a bag of Doritos that has two flavors mixed in one bag…or watching Missy Elliott eat a bag of Doritos that has two flavors mixed in one bag? TIme to find out. Go out and buy a bag of Doritos Collisions right now, eat some…then come back and watch this commercial.

What? They are both the worse thing you have experienced in your entire life? Worse than the time you peed in your pants at the school assembly? Worse than when your boss caught you IMing dirty messages to your co-worker? Worse than when you peed in your pants while IMing your co-worker? Yes it is that bad. Interesting how they hired a wannabe Timbaland as the producer.
