Ludacris gets high school gym named after him

Christopher "Ludacris" Bridges returned to his alma mater, Benjamin Bannekar High School in Atlanta yesterday as the high school gym was named in his honor. No it’s not called the Ludacris Gymnasium. Instead their main gym will
be called "The Christopher Bridges Gym of Dreams." That doesn’t sound
too intimidating for visiting opponents. "The Ludacris Gym of

Ludacris talks about his new “Straits” restaurant

Ludacris and famed Southeast Asian chef Chris Yeo talk about their new Atlanta restaurant Straits in a recent interview with The Atlanta Sunday Paper. In the interview Luda talks about how he met Yeo and the whole concept of how an Atlanta based Southeast Asian restaurant came to be. Yeo currently owns three other Straits Restaurants in California. Updated: My contacts at 20th Century Fox contacts who are working on the movie have confirmed that Luda is playing Chief Bravura. In fact, according to Sandra Rose, Luda even has leased a house in Toronto where Max Payne is filming. And you know…he got hoes in them Canadian area codes too…

Ludacris opens Asian cuisine restaurant

Ludacris and California restaurateur Chris Yeo have partnered to open a new restaurant in April in the Atlanta area called "Straits" which will serve Southeast Asian cuisine mixed with local ingredients. Yeo already has three Straits restaurants all in Northern California. Check out the official site here. Ludacris and Yeo plan to open a total of three restaurants in Atlanta, but are still undecided on what the restaurants will be called. This is a good move for Ludacris.

Many celebrities who open restaurants think they can do it on their own and partner with amateurs. Yeo has the experience and connections to make this venture profitable for Luda. In the film, Ludacris plays Roman, co-manager for a famous recording artist who gets caught up with the Russian mob. And who is the other manager? Jeremy Piven of course. How does Luda feel about Rocknrolla? According to his interview it’s "like Snatch but even better." This interview is a little old but Ludacris really explains a lot about the film and his future in acting as well.

Ludacris in new action movie from director of “Crank”

Ludacris will be starring opposite Gerard Butler (300) in an action movie tentatively titled Game. Film is about a dystopic future where people have been implanted with mind control so that they can be used as living game units for a massive multiplayer online video game called “Slayers”. The game’s most popular player, Kable (Butler), starts to question his loyalty to the game’s owners and eventually realizes that he must destroy the game to free himself from under its control.

So it’s basically as if you were in a real life version of Starcraft or Warcraft or Halo which would be really cool…except when you die…you really dead sucka! Film is directed by the guys who did Crank and according to the producers Ludacris will not be in the film to provide comic relief but will actually play the leader of a renegade underground group called H.U.M.A.N.Z. Clearly this group is run by Ludacris because only a rapper would spell it like that. Film starts shooting soon in New Mexico and will be released by Lionsgate in Dec. 2008.
